Over the past few years I have added all of what is seen in the video to our home. Everything was installed or built by me with readily available consumer products. At the heart of the home is the home network, it literally enables all of this. It reaches every room in the house, and via broadband connection allows me to reach my home and content from anywhere in the world.

Already half-way there, minus the big-brother elements that aren't really necessary in a two bedroom unit... Like the video. Can you log in and cook a roast dinner from work?

My wife and I are building a house in the UP, 8 miles from the grid. Is it possible to do a system like this on solar/wind power? How many watts/amps are you pulling?

Great job. Where are you physically located? I've architected and developed a different variation and am looking to align with people who know vista media, mcontrol, exacqvision, video surveillance, networking, dsc alarm systems.

Very nice setup! Would love to integrate the majority of my systems into the house but funding is limited and spread across many different hobbies, including my Vette too, so will deal with components only for now! Cheers! Great job and good luck!

Jimtom-Yes, I have a few xboxs and Linksys 2100s plus my VMC in the theater. DigiLife- Haha, it was really easy with the VMC setup, I installed TAPIRex on my main system along with a USB modem, and it uses a VMC client to pop the extenders, it also pops on my PCs via a systray client! Oh and it provides call history on both clients as well as CALLERID lookup.

Nice Systems... Do you distribute your video DVD video via COAX or is it through XBOX extender? You must have a few XBOX's??
